Heavy Duty Tow on I-84

Heavy Duty Tow Team Swaps Out Power Units

Baker & Baker’s heavy duty tow team performed a power unit swap-out for a long-term corporate client. The client runs a food transportation company. Their massive fleet transports perishable goods to restaurants and grocery stores all over Oregon.

On this particular day, an unknown engine issue brought one of their tractor trailers to a standstill on I-84 in The Dalles. To say time was of the essence is an understatement! The truck was stranded on the shoulder of the highway with a trailer full of perishables and a tight deadline to reach.

In order to save time, the heavy duty towing team decided to pick up a new power unit from the customer’s facility in Woodburn. Within 40 minutes of receiving the call, they were on their way to The Dalles with a new power unit in tow!

Thanks to the team’s quick thinking, the driver was able to make his delivery on time! Baker & Baker Towing & Crane service is proud to work with local businesses to limit their downtime and keep them on schedule. Contact us to learn more about our corporate partnerships.
